OnePlus has launched its much-anticipated flagship phone, the OnePlus 12, in India. The device proudly boasts Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, solidifying its position as the company’s premier smartphone offering.
Accompanying the flagship model is the OnePlus 12R, a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3, initially introduced in China and powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Both smartphones come pre-installed with OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14.

The OnePlus 12 features a dual SIM (Nano) setup and runs on OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14. Sporting a 6.82-inch quad-HD+ LTPO 4.0 AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, the device boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.
Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The camera setup is a highlight, with a triple rear configuration tuned by Hasselblad. This setup includes a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. A 32MP selfie camera is neatly placed in a hole-punch cutout on the display.

The device boasts a slightly smaller 6.78-inch 1.5K (1264X2780 pixels) LTPO 4.0 AMOLED screen, with identical refresh rate, display protection, and other specifications as the OnePlus 12.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 12R is fueled by the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, the same powerhouse that drove last year’s OnePlus 11. Offering up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, the device promises a smooth and responsive user experience.
Camera enthusiasts will appreciate the OnePlus 12R’s photography capabilities. The device features a 50MP primary camera equipped with a Sony IMX890 sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera boasting a 112-degree field-of-view, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, users can capture stunning selfies with the 16MP camera sporting an f/2.4 aperture.
Storage options for the OnePlus 12R include 128GB of UFS 3.1 or 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, providing ample space for apps, media, and more. Connectivity options and sensors mirror those found in the flagship model, with the exception of Bluetooth 5.3 on the OnePlus 12R.
Powering the device is a slightly larger 5,000mAh battery, supporting 100W SuperVOOC wired charging. Notably, wireless charging is absent on this smartphone. The OnePlus 12R maintains a compact form factor, measuring 163.3×75.3×8.8mm and weighing 207g. Sales for the OnePlus 12 commence on January 30, and the devices can be purchased through OnePlus’ official website, Amazon, and various retail outlets.
For the OnePlus 12R, the base model with 8GB+128GB configuration is priced at Rs. 39,999, and the 16GB+256GB variant with faster storage is available at Rs. 45,999. The handset is offered in Cool Blue and Iron Gray colours, with sales starting on February 6 through OnePlus’ website, Amazon, and retail stores.
