39-year-old arrested for assault on 11-year-old minor in Pakyong: accused booked under POCSO Act
A 39-year-old has been arrested by Pakyong district police on charges of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old minor. A case under the POCSO Act has been registered against the accused.
According to a written FIR filed by the stepmother of the 11-year-old minor, the incident occurred on November 25 and 26 under the jurisdiction of Pakyong police station. The 39-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting the minor child at the victim’s house.
The stepmother lodged a written FIR, stating that her 11-year-old daughter was repeatedly sexually assaulted by the 39-year-old, identified as Bengthang Pacheykhani, at their own house on two occasions.
The alleged perpetrator used cash to lure the victim and warned her not to reveal this to anyone, according to the complainant.
The accused is currently in police custody, and an investigation under the POCSO Act is underway.
