Saumya Tandon wasn’t a fan of Shah Rukh Khan but it changed when she met him: ‘He gives you unadulterated attention’
Renowned for her role in the popular TV series ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai‘, actress Saumya Tandon recently took a walk down memory lane, recalling her time co-hosting the reality show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout‘ with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. While calling the show the biggest flop of her career, Saumya was seen cherishing the opportunity that she got to work alongside King Khan. Further expressing gratitude over the invaluable experience that she had while working with the Dunki actor, Saumya also described SRK as the “most romantic person” for her.
Saumya Tandon recalls working with Shah Rukh Khan
In a recent conversation with Digital Commentary, the television actress began by reflecting on her collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, mentioning that she felt about “reaching a milestone in her career.” Recounting the days from her ‘Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout‘ hosting days, the actress said, “It did not turn out as expected. It became the biggest flop of my career. Despite that, I had a fantastic time meeting and working with Shah Rukh. He is extremely sharp and clever. Besides being a brilliant actor, he exhibits wit and intelligence. Earlier, I was not an SRK fan but my perception completely changed after meeting him.”
Further heaping more words of praise on SRK’s work ethic and humility towards other co-stars, Saumya Tandon recalled an incident while she was co-hosting the show’s launch event.
“I remember I had to co-host the show with him. When I came, he stood up. He doesn’t have to. He is such a big star. All the CEOs and other important personalities were waiting to meet him but he said ‘This is my time with her’. So everybody was standing till the time he finished his rehearsal with me. We rehearsed for close to an hour. When he was with me, he was just with me, looking into my eyes, making me feel important, and giving me respect, time, and space. He didn’t make me feel like I was a new person. He asked me 2-3 times if I wanted to rehearse,” she said further adding that she received “unadulterated attention” from the actor which makes him the “most romantic person.”

Notably, this is not the first time an actor has praised SRK for his humble nature and polite behaviour. Many of his co-stars have time and again shared their pleasant experiences when working with the superstar.
