Salman Khan defends low box-office numbers of ‘Antim’ & ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’: ‘When they released…’
It has been almost three decades since Salman Khan entered the film industry and became a superstar. With several hit films in his career, the actor has the potential of making the crowd go berserk, without even delivering a hit in many years.
However, the last few releases were not so good for Salman Khan as he delivered a string of flops with Tubelight, Rade: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Race 3, Bharat, Dabangg 3 and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, all of which were moderate performers. Amid all the critics, his recent release Tiger 3 seems to have clinched the hut status as it earns impressive numbers at the box office.
Post the release of Tiger 3, Salman Khan recently interacted with the media and also spoke about his previous flops, defending the films’ underperformance at the box office.

Mentioning two of his previous releases including Antim and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the actor noted that the film (Antim) was released just after the pandemic and no one was ready to go to the cinemas.
He further went on to reason that his movies were released at normal ticket prices. “When the film was released, we didn’t go for high prices but kept it normal. There is a difference between the two. We had fewer numbers and earned less, but we saved the audiences’ money,” Salman said.
Apart from that, the actor also spoke about the earnings of his latest release Tiger 3, stating that people have watched the film by spending around Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,700 per ticket, whereas the price range for Antim and KKBKKJ was kept at Rs 250.
“My next movie will definitely have expensive tickets because it seems you guys don’t appreciate our intention. Next time, we will give you a bigger number,” he added.
Salman also asserted that Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan would have earned more if it had been released at the present time.
On the work front, Salman Khan is presently basking in the success of his latest release Tiger 3. The film which is the third instalment in the Tiger franchise and the sixth one in YRF’s Spy Universe has already collected over Rs 400 crores worldwide.
