After a lot of anticipation, Zoya Akhtar directed The Archies finally released on OTT after months of wait. Starring star kids Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda followed by a bunch of newcomers, the film is based on the popular Archie comics.
As soon as it was released, fans wasted no time as they switched to Netflix and started watching, while also expressing their opinions on social media. Notably, the film faced a lot of criticism and trolling on social media, besides receiving some positive reviews. Amid this, actress Raveena Tandon also caught the internet’s attention for all the wrong reasons.
Fans claimed that she liked an Instagram reel that trolled The Archies’ actors Agastya and Khushi’s acting skills with a caption that reads, “Acting died here.”

The instance of Raveena liking the trolling Instagram reel caught fans’ attention, leaving many to speculate whether it was an intentional act or an accidental one. As soon as the news started making rounds, the actress was too quick as she issued an apology stating that she accidentally liked the video. Further, she also clarified that the error was made while she was randomly scrolling through Instagram posts and was not aware of it.
“Touch buttons and social media. A genuine mistake has been blown out of proportion. The like was made in error, and something that I was not even aware of had been pressed by scrolling. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hurt this may have caused,” she wrote.
While the apology silenced all the speculations, Raveena on Monday morning deleted the apology note from Instagram, making fans even more confused.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film follows the lives of the popular characters Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Jughead, Reggie, Ethan, and Dilton who take audiences on a ride to the fictional city town of Riverdale.
While Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor made their acting debut with the film, it also marked the entry of newcomers Aditi Saigal, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, and Yuvraj Menda.
Prior to the release, a grand premiere was also held in Mumbai where celebrities from all corners of the industry graced the event, extending their support to the young actors and their debut film.
