The trailer unfolds a musical narrative led by seven charming characters from the beloved Archie comics, steering through the retro alleys of love, friendship, and youthful aspirations. The characters are no doubt iconic and it will take you back to the beautiful teenage days and make you relive it.

Starting from the colour filter to the dressing, Netflix’s The Archies gave a lot of attention to the costumes bringing back the 80s retro fashion. The movie is set in the sixties and we get a clear glimpse of the fashion those days starting to the checked skirts and trousers, to the stockings and the hair styles.

As cinema lovers we all are aware of Zoya Akhtar’s brilliant filmography. All her movies are different from each other has a uniqueness whether it is Zindagi Na Milegi Na Dobara, Gully Boy, Dil Dhadakne Do and now The Archies.

Re-living our childhood memories

It is an intoxicating experience to watch how Zoya Akhter and Reema Kagti were able to get into the heads of the teenagers and how they understood the psychology of the kids of that age. We all have lived through that age in our lives and that is the time when our lives were filled with books, friends, happiness and garden picnics. All things first including our first crushes to our brush with music and style has a special place in our hearts. And deep within ourselves we keep thinking, “Those were the days my friend, I thought they will never change.”

Promising and fresh star cast

The Archie is the acting debut of many of the star kids and many of their performances are promising. We get to see Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor, and late Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Honestly speaking Khushi Kapoor will make you fall in love with Betty again for her simplicity and innocence. The showstopper Archie played by Agastya Nanda is another charmer. No way can you make out that the two actors are new in the industry.

Khushi Kapoor was the right choice for playing the character of Betty Cooper in Netflix’s ‘The Archies’. Her performance was heartfelt and breezy, with critics and audiences describing her as the quintessential Betty. Khushi effortlessly showcases Betty’s inherent innocence, allowing it to shine through authentically. Her performance is a testament to her natural ability to capture the raw emotions and genuine friendships that define Betty Cooper’s character.

Netflix’s The Archies has mesmerising visuals and it has the ability to transport your mind to those days of innocence, music and chocolate milkshakes. Love every bit of the look of the film which is effortlessly stylish whether it is is the woods where the ese teenagers take a stroll, the school, the greenery around, the tuck shops on the lanes of the town and not to forget the book store shown in the film.
