Israel-Hamas War: Netflix’s ‘Fauda’ actor Idan Amedi’s condition improves after being injured in Gaza
Netflix’s Fauda actor Idan Amedi was seriously injured while fighting the Hamas militants in Gaza Strip amid the Israel-Hamas war. He was rushed to the hospital and now, it has been reported that his condition is improving. He woke up and even spoke to his family members.
The news of his injury was shared by Israeli diplomat Avia Levi on X who wrote- “Idan Amedi, one of Fauda’s actors, has been seriously injured in a battle in Gaza. We pray and pray for your speedy recovery.”
When Fauda’s crew member was killed in Gaza
Last year in November, Matan Meir, who was a reservist in Israel’s 551st Brigade’s 697th Battalion, was killed in action in Gaza.The show’s official X (formerly Twitter) account posted the news saying, “We are devastated to share that one of our Fauda family members, Matan Meir, was killed in action in Gaza. Matan was an integral crew member.”
Star of the series Lior Raz told Ynet, “Matan was a man with a heart of gold, full of kindness and giving. I loved you Matan. You were always available to me at every moment. You always told me, no problem, it’s never too small for me. A man of work and giving out of true love. May your memory be for a blessing.”
Lior Raz pens a note for Israel
Amid the Israel-Hamas war that captured the country, Fauda star Lior Raz had taken to the front lines and joined the volunteering group called ‘Brothers in Arms’. He had the company of president of the Israel Democracy Institute Yohanan Plesner and journalist Avi Yissascharov. He even shared a video with fans on X.
The actor, while sharing the video on his social media account, wrote- “Accompanied by Yohanan Plesner @yplesnerand Avi @issacharoff, I headed down south to join hundreds of brave “brothers in arms” volunteers who worked tirelessly to assist the population in the south of Israel. We were sent to the bombarded town of Sderot to extract 2 families.”
