After this washout, the Indian team will be looking to establish a substantial lead in the second T20I of the series at Gqeberha, formerly known as Port Elizabeth.

The weather forecast for Gqeberha predicts cloudy conditions with a high likelihood of showers. According to metrics, there could be a maximum of 99% cloud cover and a 63% probability of precipitation. In the evening, the chances of precipitation drop to 6%.

A young Indian team led by Suryakumar Yadav have only five T20Is remaining before next year’s World Cup. After the South Africa T20Is, India is slated to take on Afghanistan in a three-match series at home.
