After ‘Animal’, are Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol reuniting for Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan’?
Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol created rage and history at the box-office with the blockbuster success of Animal. Deol was seen as the antagonist of the story that was nothing less than a monster. And a recent report by Pinkvilla said he could be reuniting with Ranbir Kapoor for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan.
The report said the ‘Soldier‘ star has been approached by the makers to essay the role of Kumbhkaran in this magnum opus; are the reports indeed true? ETimes said there’s no truth to the news and the makers haven’t approached Deol yet.
Bobby Deol has had a solid comeback to the movies after a four year gap between 2013 and 2017, when he wasn’t getting the kind of roles he wished to do as an actor. In the last three years, he has acted in Class of 83, Aashram, and Love Hostel. And with the raging success of Animal, where he played a monster called Abrar, he nailed the performance even in the three scenes he was in.
In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, he sat down for a chat at his sprawling abode with severe headache and yet all gung-ho about the success of the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. Talking about his character, he said, “I didn’t think of him as a monster, I thought of him as a person who lost his grandfather in front of him when he burned himself alive and because of that, he lost his voice. He’s a very family-oriented man who swears revenge, and he would kill for his family. That’s how I prepared for my character, for me, he felt invincible so that’s why when you see the body language, it just happened organically because I was feeling the character.”
For the unaware about Ramayan, while Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in to play Lord Ram in his next, Sai Pallavi will essay the role of Sita in the movie. It has also been reported that KGF star Yash will be playing Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s next.
Ranbir Kapoor to quit alcohol and meat for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana
Sources revealed that South beauty Sai Pallavi enjoys a clean, controversy-free image, whereas that is not the case for Rockstar actor Ranbir Kapoor. Although the Sanju star is not exactly a wild child, he is definitely not Sri Ram in his personal life either.
