Video: Teen Touches Delhi Man’s Feet. Then His Hired Killer Shoots Him Dead
A man and his nephew were shot dead while celebrating Diwali outside their house in Delhi’s Shahdara on Thursday. A 16-year-old boy, who hired the shooter over a money dispute, has been detained, the police said.
The incident occurred in Shahdara’s Farsh Bazar area around 8 pm and was caught on CCTV.
In the video, the man, 44-year-old Akash Sharma, his nephew, Rishabh Sharma (16), and son, Krish Sharma (10), were seen bursting firecrackers on the narrow road outside their house.
The 16-year-old boy is then seen coming on a two-wheeler and touching the feet of Mr Sharma, while the shooter stands there.
Seconds later, the shooter fired about five bullets at Mr Sharma, killing him and injuring his son. As his nephew ran after the shooters, he was also shot dead.
Police said the teen had lent money to Mr Sharma and he was not returning it.
“The accused had planned the murder 17 days ago. There are previous cases against the detained minor and the victim Akash and his family,” the police said.
