Vikrant Massey’s life has changed completely for the good post the success of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail. And the actor won the Best Actor trophy (Critics) at the 69th Filmfare Awards. After winning the black lady, Massey shared the moment with IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma, the role he recently essayed, and was all smiles.

The image was shared by the IPS officer himself on X and he stated how one Manoj loves the other Manoj even more when he shows him his Best Actor trophy.

It has been a decade since Vikrant Massey’s first film was released. After 10 years of hard work, he bagged the biggest film of his career12th Fail. Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the film emerged as a bonafide success and Vikrant Massey got the stardom that he truly deserved.

Sharma, whose life inspired the Hindi movie “12th Fail”, is among 37 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel who have been awarded various police and fire service medals on the eve of the 75th Republic Day.

A Union Home Ministry statement named Sharma, a 2005-batch Indian Police Service officer of the Maharashtra cadre, his batchmate from the Bihar cadre Jitender Rana and a few others as the recipients of the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM).

Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, ’12th Fail’ was based on Anurag Pathak’s bestselling novel about the journey of Sharma and his wife Shraddha Joshi, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer.

After emerging as a sleeper hit at the box office, 12th Fail featuring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankr turned out to be a blockbuster on OTT. Despite its digital release, the film witnessed a steady run at the box office. The film and impeccable performance by Vikrant Massey has garnered praises from celebs like Kamal Haasan, Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Rani Mukerji and others.
